Mrs. Pearl Wheeler, 78, died at 4 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 15, 1960, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 23, 1881, in Allen County, Kansas.

She had lived in this community (Chanute, KS) all of her life until moving to Tulsa 15 years ago.

She was married to John W. Wheeler. He died Oct. 20, 1933.

She was a member of the Brookside Westminister Presbyterian Church in Tulsa and the Sunflower chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Chanute.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. B.F. (Imo) McAlester of Wichita, KS, Mrs. Charles (Nellie) McQuin of Chanute, KS, and Mrs. R.L. (Mina) Reitter of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Raymond L. of Albuquerque, N M, arid Carl E. of Stoneboro, PA; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Yohns of Tulsa, OK, Mrs. Ada Basler of Granger, WA, and Mrs. Sara Trafton of Ulysses, KS; and two brothers, G. E. Fletcher of LasVegas, NV, and J.A. Fletcher, of Tulsa, OK.

A brother, Ernanuel Fletcher preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 18, 1960, at Johnson Mortuary. The Rev. William T. Hunt of the Presbyterian Church will officiate, and burial will be in Odense Cemetery.
