Twyla Maharg Meeder, 97, of Oakland Township, Chicora, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023.
Born April 19, 1925, in Chicora, PA , she was the daughter of the late John C. and Grace (Clingensmith) Maharg.
Twyla was a graduate of Butler High School and then went on to attend Butler Business College. She was an active member of Church of the Living Word for many years.
Twyla is survived by her five sons, Kenneth W. (Vikki) of Boone, IA, Keith P. (Kathie) of Strasburg, VA, Melvin B. (Patti) of West Pittsburg, Matthew E. (Leslie) of Havertown and Phillip J. of Chicora; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Randall Maharg of Butler and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Meeder, whom she married on June 15, 1948, and who passed away on November 10, 2010, and four brothers.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Twyla from 5PM until the time of the funeral service at 7PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001. Service will be officiated by Matthew E. Meeder.of Grace Chapel.
Burial will be made in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
