On March 23, 2023, Heaven received the most precious angel on Earth, "Winnie" Wynette Benge Vanhoy Sizemore, 78, passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born in Iredell County to the late Earl Ransom and Bertha Moore Benge.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Deborah Vanhoy Pyles; son-in-law, Jeff Pyles; grandchildren, Sophia Lenay Pyles, and Allison Marie Pyles; a brother, Clyston (Barbara) Benge; special friend, Darrell Poteat, scoutmaster and troop 655; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at Believers Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow the visitation in the church at 3 PM Sunday by Rev. Matthew Foster. Interment will follow in Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
