She was born on July 2, 1943 to Atilano Garcia and Getrudes Tapia in Lamy, NM.
She was a catholic and a member of San Miguel Del Vado Church.
Maria was meek loving kind woman who loved God, serving god and her family was her life. She was a foster grandma at the Valley Schools. She was a member of League of Mary and a Crusista and sang in the church choir.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Eloy Griego; sister: Ramona Garcia; mother and father in law: Max and Josefita Griego.
Maria is survived by her children: Filemon Griego, Ramon Griego, Marylou Griego all of the family home and Arlene True of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren: Marissa, Adrianna and Antonio Nailor, Santiago, Devon and Isabella True; brother-in-law: Max Griego Jr. (Corine) of Alamogordo, NM; sister-in-law: Maxine Soltero (Lee) of Las Vegas, NM; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:30am with Father Moses Nwankwo as celebrant both services will be held at San Miguel Del Vado Catholic Church in San Miguel, NM.
Interment will follow at San Miguel Cemetery in San Miguel, NM with the following serving as pallbearers Santiago True, Devon True, Antonio Nailor, Leonard Rodriguez, Joey Quintana and Thurston True.
