Amos Clark was my Uncle and the son of William Dillard Clark and Naomi Sisco. Uncle Amos was the brother of my father, Jack and the brother of Gertrude, Silas, and Zifton Clark.
Amos married #1 Ruby Opal Crossland March 27, 1946 in Lamar Co, Texas They had one child. William Dillard Clark.

Amos Dillard Clark, 70, of Paris went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec 25, 1999, at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas.
He was an angel and made an impact on everyone's life he came in contact with. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart full of love for everyone. We all love him and will miss him greatly.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec 28, at Paris Church of God with the Rev. O.D. Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Clark was born March 3, 1929, in Midland to William Dillard and Naomi Sisco Clark. He married Wanda Reed Slagle Dec 23, 1987, in Paris. He was retired from Campbell Soup after 25 years and owned and operated Amos Clark Construction until his death. He loved the Paris Church of God dearly and was a member, usher and door greeter there.

Surviving are his wife, one son, William Dillard Clark of Blossom, two stepsons, Billy Jack Gaither of Mount Pleasant and Jerry Gaither of Hugo, Okla.; four stepdaughters, Brenda Mathews of Paris, Debbie Daniel of Paris, Louise Canida of Powderly, and Nelda McQuigg of Paris; 21 grandchilen; many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a number of friends. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Pamela Gibson of Paris. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Porterfield, Glenn Barnett, Steve Jackson, Jeff Gordon, Cory Johnson, and Mike Roberts.
