(1919 - 2008)

Eleanor A. Duchow, age 88, a resident of the Chilton Care Center, died on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.

Eleanor was born on July 15, 1919, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Naidl) Jung. On Oct. 25, 1944, she married Adolph H. Duchow at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Collins. He preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2007. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. Eleanor enjoyed flowers, gardening, baking and picking apples.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Delton (Cheryl) Duchow, Valders; David (Kathy) Duchow, Collins, and Daniel (Audrey) Duchow, Reedsville; six grandchildren: Josh Duchow, Chilton; Jesse Duchow, Port Orchard, Wash.; Nicole Duchow, Collins; and special friend, John Menges, Manitowoc; Scott Duchow and special friend, Judy Schmitz, both of Brillion; Bethany (Jesse) Christensen, Prospect Heights, Ill.; and Corey Duchow, Reedsville; two step-grandchildren: Jennifer (Kenneth) Fahley, Chilton; and Jeffrey Rathsack and special friend, Becky Anderson, both of Juda; one great-grandchild: Caitlin Berge, Collins; six step-great-grandchildren: Christopher, Bradley, Courtney and Ethan Fahley, Chilton; Zoe and Alex Rathsack, Juda; one sister and brother-in-law: Lorraine (Emil) Duchow, Chilton; and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Willard (Sylvia) Duchow, Reedsville; and Herman Duchow, Chilton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Adolph; one sister and brother-in-law: Albertha (Arnold) Tienor; two brothers and one sister-in-law: George (Eleanor) Jung and Quirin Jung; one brother-in-law: Harvey Duchow; nephew: Thomas Duchow; and a niece: Delores Basken.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2501 Collins Road, Collins. The Rev. Robert Hankwitz will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the Duchow family.

The Duchow family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Chilton Care Center and Calumet Medical Center for all the special care given to Eleanor.
