Vautrice Collier, 84, of Tannehill, died Monday at McAlester Regional Hospital. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. Robert Hunnicutt officiating. Interment will be at Tannehill Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Cecil Medley, Danny Conn, Charles Groves, Raymond Cox, Jay White and Richard Crenshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Clifton, Leland Shackleford, T. Bowen, Euel Epps, Orville Shipley, Alan Owens, J. L. White, Bill Wise and Phillip Martin. Mrs. Collier was born December 18, 1907 in Newtonia, Mo., to William Thomas and Elnora Collins Lemaster and married Elmer C. Collier in 1939. She lived most of her life in the Tannehill area and was a member of the Scipio Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Verna Elwell of Monet, Mo.; four sons, Jack Scott of Duluth, Minn., and Charles, Vernon and Gene Collier all of Tannehill; one sister, Bonnie Reardon of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, Ferris Lemaster of Pierce City, Mo., and Elvis Lemaster of Start City, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; our step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 1988, and by her parents.
