Anna O. Loven, 605 5th Ave, Decorah died Oct 9 at the Eastern Star Nursing Home. She was 86.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct.12 at 11 am at Glenwood Lutheran Church where she was a member. The Rev. James K. Jensen officiated the service & organist Ruth Hove accompanied the congregation.
Pallbearers were James Allison, John Allison, Jerome Allison, Jeff Ode, Gordon Gulbranson, & Robert Gulbranson. Burial was at the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Steine Funeral Home.
Mrs. Loven was born Anna O. Fortun on Jan 14, 1893, in Glenwood Township [Winneshiek county, IA] to Christoher & Clara Fortun. She attended rural schools in Winneshiek county & Luther Academy for Girls in Albert Lea, MN.
She was married to Albert Loven in Glenwood on March 4, 1916. He died Oct. 17, 1972. Mrs. Loven lived most of her life in Winneshiek county & lived in Decorah the last 12 years. She was a member of Glenwood Ladies Aide & the Naomi Circle.
She is survived by 6 children: William Loven, Decorah; Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Feuerhelm, Waukon; Mrs. James (Irene) Allison, Waukon; Vernon Loven, Salem, OR; Roger Loven, Portland, OR; & Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Ode, Decorah.
She is also survived by 1 sister Mrs. Gustave (Idella) Gulbranson, Spring Valley, MN, 11 grandchildren, & 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, & a daughter, Marion Loven.

Albert & Anna had 7 children together: William (1916-98), Margaret (1918-), Irene (1921-), Vernon (1923-84), Marion (1925-36), Roger (1927-80), & Evelyn (1929-)
