Vivian Mabel Wilks Allred, 82, died Monday, Nov. 7, (1988) at Caribou Memorial Nursing Home in Soda Springs. She was born Sep. 19, 1906, in Bloomington, to John Henry and Mabel Agnes Wallentine Wilks. She grew up in Paris and graduated from Fielding High School. She married Ernest Rich Allred on June 16, 1927 in the Salt lake LDS Temple. She spent most of her adult life in St. Charles, where she served as Primary and Relief Society teacher. She lived in Soda Springs for the last 15 years. She is survived by two sons, Jay Compton Allred, Soda Springs and Jack Rich Allred, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Dawson Wilks [sic], Lewiston and Bernard Wilks [sic], Paris; one sister, Gladys Carnine, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband who died Nov. 24, 1963; one son, Gary Wilks Allred; a brother, Vance Wilks; a sister, Blossom Hophine; and a nephew, Mike Wilks. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery
