Son of Richard Bonds 1787-1872 Born in Virginia.

Second husband Martha Jeanette "Jennie" McCorkle Cook Bonds.

Isaac donated more than half of the property for the building of Bonds Grove Methodist Church which was named after him. Isaac & Jennie had no children together but Jennie had two sons and a daughter by a previous marriage to Benjamin Franklin Cook Sr. 1833-1864 (killed in the Civil War): Martha H. Cook b.1859,
