YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Rossi Brothers Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic Church for Mary Viggiano, 89, who passed away Tuesday evening.

Mary was born Nov. 27, 1918 in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of Antonio and Rose (Frank) Bloise.

She was a homemaker and wonderful baker. Mary's cookies were the most sought after by many in the area. You could find her beautiful array of baked goods at weddings and many special occasions. She prepared superb dinners for the holidays and invited her family to attend. She was a member of the church and its Altar Guild and a devout Catholic.

Her husband, Michael A. Viggiano, whom she married Oct. 28, 1937, passed away Jan. 5, 1994. She will always be loved and remembered by her three sons; John (Mary Ann) Viggiano of Poland, Joseph (Marge) Viggiano of Boardman, and James (Jean) Viggiano of Austintown; seven grandchildren; Jill, Marc, Jena, Jimmy, Melissa, Matthew and Michele; 11 great-grandchildren; Morgan, Jared, Gabrielle, Nina, Olivia, Allison, Anthony, Aiden, Nathan, Madaline and Michael; four brothers; John, Frank, Jim and Nick Bloise; and several sisters-in-law. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; and three brothers, Sam, Joseph and Andy.
