Jennifer Lynn New, 68, passed away on February 19, 2023 in Naples, FL while on vacation.
She was born on August 11, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH to Donald Bailey and Betty Bailey.
Jennifer graduated from North Central High School in 1972 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the School of Business at Indiana University in 1976.
Jenny spent over 30 years as an IT professional managing Network Services and as an IT project manager with Standard Management and Guggenheim Partners. Her key accomplishments included investment software development for an international company and the creation of a document generation system for new business products. Jenny earned PMP certification from the Project Management institution and was proficient in workflow design, data warehouse management and document generation as well as agile methodologies.
Jenny married Steve New in 1977 at Northminster Presbyterian Church on a beautiful sunny day. The loving couple have one child, who recently married, which was one of Jenny's proudest moments.
Jenny was best known for her positivity, great sense of humor, beautiful smile and electric energy. She loved reading, playing cards, traveling with her husband and looked forward to having grandkids.
Jenny is survived by her husband of 45 years; one daughter; and three siblings. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Jenny New will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a 1 PM service at Indiana Funeral Care Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisionville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
