BUCK - On 13th November 1903, at her residence, Taita, Rebecca, relict of the late F. Buck, aged 84. Deeply regretted. Mrs Buck of Taita, who was well-known to old Masterton settlers, had the misfortune, a few days ago, to break her thigh, through an accidental fall and news was received in town yesterday that she had died from the effects of the shock. Deceased, who was 82 years of age, was an aunt to Mrs J. R. Welch of Masterton

Their children were:
1879 - 1962 Alice Mary Buck
1881 - 1965 William Matson Whitewood Buck
1887 - 1962 Marjory Buck

In her Will Rebecca left £500 each to her above 3 grandchildren, Marjory, Alice & William Buck and the rest of the estate she left to her daughter Mary Ann Buck, who was then aged 45
