Ann signed her maiden name as Read and said her mother was "Ansley Read and her father was Richard Bond" ?
Ann married William Welch on 10 Feb 1827 in Hougham, Kent when they were 22 (he was a month older than her). They had 9 children in Kent. Seven emigrated with them into Port Nicholson in 1840 on the 'Oriental'.
They had another 4 children in NZ.

There is no evidence that her mother was Ansley Bond. Her mother was Ann Ansley as shown by her marriage record to Richard Read. I DNA match descendants of siblings of Ann, so that is correct. Please remove the Bond as it continues to confuse people.
