Minnie Brennon, 69, of Crossett died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. A native of Hugo, OK, and a resident of Crossett for the past 66 years, she was a retired cashier and a member of Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church.


Survivors include a son, Charles D. Brennon of Crossett; three daughters, Karla Addington, Karen and husband Timothy Haas, all of Crossett, and Sue Brennon of Snyder; a brother, W.L. Brantley of Brinkley; two sisters, Oleda Gardner of Crossett and Lettie Moore of Camden; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Brennon; her parents, Waymond and Leona Cornelison Brantley; a sister, Irene Willis; and a brother, D.C. Brantley.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, at Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church with Bros. Roy Grantham and Donnie Dubose officiating.

Pallbearers were John Lewis, Martin Hopper, Dennis Banks, Merchell Carpenter, Burl Welsey Toler and Jimmy Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Eubanks, William Coleman and Steve Courson.

Burial followed at Simms Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
