She was born on September 7, 1932 in Barbourville, KY, daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Harris) Shafer. For many years, Rosalie was the owner and operator of Rose Lynn Catering in Romulus. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, George Filer; and 10 children, survived by 8, Linda, Carol, Richard, David, Donna, Lora, Lisa and Georgette. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, John and William Way; sons-in-law, Carl Shoup and Thomas Lloyd; grandson, William Way, Jr.; and granddaughter, Candice Downing.
