Services for Aaron Richard "Whizzer" Arthur, 74, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Bevel officiating. Masonic graveside rites will follow at the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. He died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Ralls, Texas. He married June Eubank Sims on March 10, 1949 in Ralls. He was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church, the Emma Masonic Lodge, of which he was a 32nd degree Mason, the Shriners, the Ralls Lions Club and former member of the Ralls Chamber of Commerce. He was a farmer and lived in Kress, Whiteface and Hale Center before returning to Ralls in 1964.

Survivors include his wife, June, of Ralls; three sons, Aaron of Lorenzo, James of Rosenburg, and Ricky of Ralls; a brother, Uel of Ralls; two sisters, Oleta Moore of Ralls, and Juanita Perkins of San Antonio; eight grandchil dren; and five great-grandchildren.
