SELINSGROVE Helen M. Solomon, 85, of 2223 North Old Trail, died Saturday morning, Feb. 19, 2005, at her residence. She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Middleburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Wetzel) Hartman. Her husband, Richard I. "Solly" Solomon,' preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1997. Mrs. Solomon retired in 1965 from J.G.Ott Packaging Company, Selinsgrove; in order to accompany her husband on his traveling for his company.
Though she was a private woman, she had many friends. She loved spending time with her three daughters and their families. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are three daughters, Wendy L. Solomon of Selinsgrove, with whom she made, her home, Donna J. Arnold and her husband Charles of Selinsgrove, and Linda D. Youngman and her husband James of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Todd M. Arnold, James F. Youngman IV, Jason R. Youngman, and John M. Yergeiy five, great grandchildren, Tabitha and Michael Arnold, and Ashley, Benjamin, and Carley Youngman; and one brother, Kenneth Hartman of Wayne.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was a brother, Nevin.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
