In trying to read the tombstone, it looks like it says born in Louisiana Jan. 8, 1857 and died Oct. 13, 1915 in Oregon. On the tombstone it says wife of Benjamin Lea Arnold, which may be the error that caused me to think his middle name was Lea, when it seems it was actually Lee. It is very difficult to read, but it does say May She Rest in Peace, and it definitely says born in Louisiana and died in Oregon.

Between the rows of asterisks is information I received from another FindAGrave member, which I am adding here on May 29, 2010.

Minnie Arnold, wife of Benjamin Lee Arnold, was the daughter of Rev. Thomas
Beeman/Beaman White and Victoria E. Scales. (Thomas Beeman White was a
brother to my great-grandfather Dr. William Dee White.) In no
records--neither census records nor family records--have I found Minnie
referred to by any name other than "Minnie". She was born about 1859 in Louisiana,
probably in Plaquemine, Iberville Parish, where her father was serving the
Methodist church.

Just a brief comment about Benjamin Arnold's middle name. I believe it was
"Lee". Before his marriage to Minnie White he was married to Addie Lea,
(possibly the source of the conflicting spellings of Benjamin's middle
name), the daughter of Solomon Lea.

Ernest White Arnold, buried in this same cemetery, was the son of Benjamin
Lee Arnold and Minnie White.
