FRANK FOSTER, 62, 1925 Chisholm Drive, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1989, in a Duncan hospital.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Duncan Cemetery, with Mario Pineda officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mr. Foster, a lifetime resident of Duncan, was born April 19, 1927, in Velma. An employee at Tosco Refinery for 36 years, he retired in 1983. He coached for the Duncan Youth Council for 10 years and was involved with the girls softball program and coaching at Optimist Park. He was named "coach of the year" in 1975. On Feb. 26, 1987, he married Charlotte Hendrix in Duncan.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Jill Jackson of Oklahoma City, Gail Hays of Wilburton, and Tracy Shankles of Duncan; two step-children, Joe McCoy of Atlanta, Ga., and Melinda Mitchell of Duncan; four brothers, Jim Foster of Lamesa, Texas, Jake Foster of Ackerly, Texas, Joe Foster, Virgil Foster and Matt Foster of Duncan, and Tobe Foster of Broken Arrow; a sister, Side Nix of Stanton, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, Jeremy Gibson of San Marcos, Texas, Joshua Gibson of Oklahoma City, Andria Shankles and Ivy Shankles of Duncan, and Chelsea Hays and Amy Hays of Wilburton; four step-grandchildren, Angela McCoy of Atlanta, Sara Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and Charlsey Mitchell, all of Duncan.
