RALPH COVELL
Ralph L. Covell, 78, of Coleman, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002 at home following a short illness.
Born July 18, 1923 in Hale, he was the son of Fred and Edna (Robinson) Covell. He lived in Gladwin County since 1985 and previously lived in Westland.
Ralph married Shirley (Davis), June 22, 1943 in Beaverton. He wasa veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a general foreman for Westland Water Department, retiring in 1985 after 30 years. He was also amember of many veteran organizations.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Martha and husband James Burgess of Wayne and Erica and husband Dennis Mars of Franklin, Tenn.; one son, Fred and wife Alicia of Westland; grandchildren, Vicki and Tom Boljesic, Lori and Derek Femat, Wendi and Ron Way, Brian and Tracie Burgess, Christy and Bill Hendrickson and Bradley Mars; great-grandchildren, Whitney Burgess, Ryan, Jacob and Madison Boljesic, Amanda, Tyler and Brooke Femat, Chelsi and Brett Way, Courtney Ponczak and Brayden and Bryce Burgess; one sister, Ola and husband Tony Leigeb; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl and Russell; and two sisters, Winafred Moshier and Lucille Bowlsby.
Services willbe held at 2 p.m. today at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with Rev. Duane Koontz officiating. Burial will be in Beaverton Cemetery in Beaverton. Military honors were performed by VFW Post 7303.
