DALLAS — William Henry K. Smith, a farmer residing near Falls City, died in a Dallas hospital Tuesday.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Bollman Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Orville Mick officiating. Interment will take place at City View Cemetery in Salem.

The deceased had lived in the Falls City area for the past 23 years. He was born Aug. 23, 1864, in Illinois. He was married in Kansas in 1887 to Ola Shipley, who died in 1931. Smith was a member of the United Brethren Church.

Surviving are sons, Charles and Leland of Astoria, Perry of Alsea, Robert of Port Angeles, Wash., Bert of Linden, Calif., Mert of Portland, Roy of San Francisco, and Glenn of Portland; sisters, Mrs. Rena Wood and Mrs. Daisy White, both of Portland; two brothers, and two sisters, including Mrs. Irma Lyle of Salem; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
