Mrs. Thweatt, 97, Almo, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at 8:45 p.m. at Spring Creek Health Care. She was born Feb. 18, 1912.

She worked with her husband at Thweatt Service, Sales and Tire Store in Almo, and also ran a grocery store. She was a member of Temple Hill United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her 1st husband, Loy W Rushing & 2nd Husband, Willard Thweatt; one son, Edward Leon Thweatt; one daughter, Katie Rushing; her parents, Norman Coursey and Gracie Harris Coursey; one brother, James Coursey; two sisters, Neva Lou Schroader and Earleen Mohler. Survivors include two sons, Franklin Rushing and wife, Emma, Murray, and Joe Pat Thweatt and wife, Sue, Almo; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
