Robert Richard Rex, 69, of Frankfort, died at the Clinton County hospital last Saturday morning of a cerebral hemorrhage after two days of illness. He suffered the attack while digging a ditch on a farm west of Jefferson.
Born January 12, 1883, in Clinton county, he was a son of Owen and Elizabeth Landis Rex. He was married to Dora Baer, who died in 1919.
Survivors include a son, Paul, of Mlilwaukee, Wis.; a daughter, Florence Mitchell, of Frankfort, and three brothers, Arthur Rex of Frankfort, Emerson A. Rex of Rossville and the Rev. Harrison C. Rex of Janesville, Wis.
The deceased man had lived around Mulberry a number of years.
Last rites were held Tuesday morning in Frankfort. Burial was in the St. Luke cemetery.
