Clarabelle was born in Peña Blanca, New Mexico on July 2, 1928 and later moved to Santa Fé, NM to work for the State of New Mexico, where she met her handsome husband, Nick, they were married in 1952 and made Albuquerque, NM their home.
Clarabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Padilla, daughter, Lucille Ortiz and her husband, Joe, daughter, Ida Padilla, father, Fermin Lucero, mother, Claudia Lucero, sisters, Sylvia Lucero, Laura Aragón and Joanne Narvaez and brothers, Father Ramón Aragón, Phil Lucero, Fermin Lucero, Wilfred Lucero and C. F. Lucero.
Clarabelle is survived by her son, Robert Padilla, daughter, Sylvia Gonzáles and her husband, Manny, daughter, Gloria López, brother, Issac Lucero and his wife, Bernadette, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Clarabelle worked for the State of New Mexico in Santa Fé and later on worked for and retired from the Department of Motor Vehicle in Albuquerque, NM for over 30 years.
Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM on February 17, 2023 a rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. and a mass at 10:00 a.m., burial will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 12:30 at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
