One of the most charming of this season's debutantes in Washington is Miss Lucy Hoke Smith, daughter of the picturesque senator from Georgia. Although very young, Miss Smith is not unfamiliar with official life as she was her father's "right hand man" when he was Governor of Georgia. The little lady is typically southern in appearance but is decidedly vivacious. She is a great favorite in the younger set in the capital.
