Nicholas Eugene Barber, age 35, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Nicholas was born April 8, 1987, in Hayward, the son of Nelson Sr. and Barbara (Hugo) Barber. He lived a life the way only a Nicholas would. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hanging out a Good Knights, but especially enjoyed visiting with his daughter Haley every chance he could. Nick worked as a cook for Angler's Bar and Grill for many years, then worked for the Sevenwinds Casino as a security guard. His booming laugh and sense of humor was contagious. Nick loved working on cars with his buddy Johnny Davis.

He is survived by his daughter Haley Sullivan; brothers Nelson Barber Jr. & Jack Barber; sister Kristy Barber; aunts, uncles, cousins & many friends.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Elaine Bear, Robert Hugo, Neva Delapast & Franklin Barber; uncles Jack Hugo, Philip & Bob Delapast; aunts Becky Lewis & Sharon Peterson; and his homies J.B. McDaniel & Buster Hammer.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Karunakar Madanu officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 6th, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in the spring.

Honorary casket bearers were Lee Barber, Steve Barber, Brian Delapast, Nate Kelley, Ted Lewis, Derek McDaniel & Lou Trochianno.

Casket bearers were Dwayne "Diggers" Belille, Alvin Chino, Johnny Davis, Aaron Dishaw, Bob Gordon, Francis "Johnny Cakes" Hammer, Jordan Hugo & Nathaniel "Nate" McDaniel.
