Maria Christiana Weaver Wild probably died between the 1850 (name listed as Christiana Wild) and 1860 census enumerations. Her name is sometimes listed as Mary Weaver or in some family histories as Christina Steveley. In her father's 1788 Lincoln County, North Carolina will, her name is listed as Mary Christeenah Weaver. The following excerpt from a 1799 Lincoln County deed gives her father as Jacob Weaver:

This indenture made the twentieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninety nine between Jacob Wild of the County of Burke in the State of North Carolina, of the one part, and Jacob Weaver of the County of Lincoln, and state aforesaid, of the other part. WITNESSETH: That the said Jacob Wild for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds to him in hand paid by the said Jacob Weaver, the receipt Jacob Wild does hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted, bargain, and sold, alienated and confirmed, by these present does give, grant, bargain, and sell, alien and confirm unto the said Jacob Weaver his heirs, and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel situated, lying and being in the County of Lincoln and State of North Carolina on the south side of Jacob's River in the bend of said river above Conrad Weaver's land, beginning at a white oak in the bank of said river, thence south 75 east 74 poles to a post oak on the bank of said river, thence south 45 west 160 poles to a stake, thence north 45 degrees west 40 poles, thence to the beginning, containing fifty acres, be the same more or less, it being the whole tract granted by the state to Jacob Weaver now deceased by a patent being dated the the 18th day of May AD 1789. The aforesaid dec'd Jacob Weaver did give and bequeath to Mary Weaver his daughter, by a will or testament now on record to the only proper use and behoof of her and her heirs and assigns given the above mentioned tract of land, and the said Mary Weaver being now the aforesaid Jacob Wild's lawful wife so that she had a good right and authority to convey the aforesaid land to Jacob Weaver.
