Born: July 24, 1927 in Buda, IL
Died: January 14, 2023 in Princeton, IL
Princeton - Vivian Arline Lind, 95, of Princeton, IL., passed away on
Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Vivian was born on July 24, 1927 in Buda, Illinois to the late Arville and Iona
(Hunter) Jenner. She was a graduate from Buda High School Class of 1945.
She married her love Ellis Lind on May 27, 1950. They share over 44 years
together.
She started working for a paper route and waitressing at the age of 14. In high
school she was involved in everything from cheerleading, band and the
speech team, her adventurous spirit took her to Colorado, where she moved
to Colorado Springs after high school graduation.
Upon returning to the Midwest, she attended beauty school in Kewanee.
Once she became a licensed beautician, she co-owned Viv and Van's Beauty
Shop in Buda. After getting married, she managed the business end of Lind
Plumbing and Heating with her husband for over 40 years.
Viv was an active member of the First United Methodist Church for decades.
While raising four children, she was a Sunday school teacher, a Scout Leader,
Band Booster Parent, PTA President, and too many times to count, she served
as homeroom mom.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, playing the piano and playing cards.
She was an avid walker and spent numerous hours attending sports and
musical events of her children and grandchildren. Family, both immediate
and extended were the center of her life. Not to mention making time for her
cherished life-long friends and regular coffee buddies. Her home was always
filled with activity as she regularly welcomed friends and family to stop by
and have a cup of coffee or sit and chat on the front porch.
Vivian is survived by her two children, a son Donald (Susan) Lind of
Princeton, IL., one daughter Denise (Jim) Guinn of Downers Grove, IL.;
daughter-in-law, Joanne Lind of Naperville, IL., and a son-in-law Todd
Nyman of Princeton, IL; twelve grandchildren, Aaron Nyman of St. Joseph,
IL., Brandon Nyman of Princeton, IL., Cameron Nyman of Arvada, CO, Adam
Lind of Spring Valley, IL., Ashley Lind of Princeton, IL., Wyatt Lind of

Cincinnati, OH., Tim Lind of Los Angeles, CA., Jeff Lind of Westmont, IL.,

well as 17 great grandchildren.
