Travis James Harjo, resident of Okemah, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was 50 years old.

Travis was born on August 5, 1972 in Talihina to his parents Raymond and Susie (Johnson) Harjo. Travis was an avid OSU football fan and enjoyed watching football.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Susie Harjo, four brothers; Barney Harjo, Solomon Harjo, Kenneth Harjo and Michael Harjo, three sisters; Betty Carpitcher, Lena Ponkilla, and Marilyn Toledo.

Survivors include five children; Zachary Harjo, Leanna Harjo Lemmings, Chance Harjo, Missy Harjo, and Trey Harjo all of Sasakwa, Oklahoma. One brother; Richmond Harjo of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Three sisters; Arlene Davis of Okemah, Christine and Johnny McKinney of Earlsboro, and Carol Harjo and Tony Woodward of Shawnee, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pastor Skip Foster will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Wolfe, JR Ponkilla, Phillip Peacore, Emerson Davis, Christopher McKinney, Chris Davis, Johnny McKinney. Honorary pallbearer will be Richmond Harjo.
