Marion Simoneaux Flatau, passed away peacefully at Heritage Manor on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 92. She was a retired legal secretary; resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 1pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Marion is survived her husband of 59 years, Douglas Flatau; son, Doug Flatau and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Raine and Madison Flatau; sister-in-law, Baye Simoneaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Stella Oufnac Simoneaux; sisters, Mae Navarre, Lucille Lefevbre and Mary "Bootie" Tamplain; and brothers, Lloyd, Herbert and George Simoneaux. Pallbearers will be Doug, Raine and Madison Flatau, Jason Bush, Paul Bernard and Pace Pizzolato. Marion loved to play cards with her friend group and to read.
