A retired supervisor at Pillsbury Western Globe and a former longtime resident of Culver City, Calif., he died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at his residence in Plaquemine. He was 83 and a native of Napoleonville. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, from noon Friday until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Dean Martin. Interment in Inglewood Cemetery, Inglewood, Calif. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law; four sisters and spouses, Lucille and Malcolm Lefebvre, Mae Navarre and Marion and Douglas Flateu, all of Plaquemine, and Mary Edith and Nolan Tamplain, Donaldsonville; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Babe Simoneaux, Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Halmarst Simoneaux; parents, Henry and Stella Oufnac Simoneaux; and a brother, Hebert Joseph Simoneaux. Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, in charge of arrangements.
