John was born March 21, 1943 in Decatur, the son of John F. and Marjorie (Jones) Bergandine.
He was a laborer. John enjoyed crafts and shopping. He was good hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand. He never knew a stranger.
Surviving is his loving companion Linda Bradshaw of Decatur, son Rusty Bergandine (Beth) of New Mexico, daughters Carla Smart of Pana, Laurie Saunders of Pana, Natanya L. Martin of Decatur, Robin R. Barton of Decatur, and Michelle Earnest of Decatur, sister Janice Shelton of Decatur, brothers Jay Cass of Decatur and Daniel Cass of Decatur, four stepsons, four stepdaughters, seventeen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Graveside service to celebrate John's life will be at 2 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Pregnancy Center.
