Janice W. Shelton, 71, of Decatur, IL, passed away July 20, 2019 at Fair Havens Christian Village.
Janice was born December 13, 1947 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John F. and Marjorie L. (Jones) Bergandine. She married Jack Shelton during 1987 and he preceded her in death.
Janice was a certified nurse’s aide and worked in the nursing field for many years.
During her leisure she loved playing Bingo and spending time with her grandkids and enjoyed going to rummage sales.
Surviving are her children, Kimberly Higgins of Mattoon, IL, Wayne Verhaegen of Decatur, IL, Michelle Davis (Michael) of Decatur, IL; siblings, Jay Cass of Decatur, IL, Daniel Cass of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Rachel Brady, Jennifer Pieper, Kaelin Loerzel, Harvey Higgins, Justin Brady, Joseph Verhaegen; great-grandchildren, Alana, Cyrus, Aubreyona, Creeden, Kaley, Calix, Justin Jr., Austyn, and companion, Bob Bennett.
Preceding in death are her parents, and two brothers, John Bergandine and Victor McKee.
