Thelma was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Reynolds Redding and Mary Etta (Cowan) Blount. She was raised in Waco and attended Waco public schools. Thelma was a beautician for over 40 years and later also worked at Mexia State School. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Beesley, in 2007; and a son, Jim David Beesley, in 1994.
Survivors include her son, Roland Taylor, of Hubbard; daughters: Sandra Fincher and Margaret Ciscell, both of Axtell, and Lisa Beesley, of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
