Death of Mrs. Wells
The news of the death of Mrs. Cecilia E. Wells was received with sad surprise by her many friends in Aiken on Tuesday last week. After only a few days of intense suffering, Mrs. Wells died at her home in the vicinity of Montmorenci on Tuesday morning, May 1st 1900.
Her funeral was conducted by Rev. W. H. Kneece, at the Aiken Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 2nd. and her remains were interred in Bethany cemetery by the side of her husband, who proceeded her to the spirit land just nine months to the day of her death.
