Adeline Viola Davis, 72, of Machias passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her daughter's residence.

She was born in Warsaw on Aug. 29, 1950, a daughter of the late Richard and Jean (nee Abendschein) Crane. She married Roger Davis in Bliss on March 17, 1973. He passed away Aug. 6, 2019.

She attended the Machias Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed visiting Letchworth and working with horses.

She worked at WalMart in Springville as a greeter. Before having her daughter, she worked in the New Jersey Meadowlands and in Pompano Beach, Fla. training horses during the winter.

In addition to her parents and husband Roger, she was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Crane.

She is survived by her daughter Erica (Shawn) Hutchinson; grandchildren Dylan and Mackenzie Hutchinson; siblings Fred (Lisa) Crane of Bliss, Jenny (Art) Crane of Colorado and Sue Buck of Niagara Falls; sister-in-law Adrienne Crane of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, 303 Route 39, Arcade, NY 14009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Hokenson officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, N.Y. 14240.
