Turner B. Biggerstaff, 69, Athens, died Sunday morning in Nashville.


A funeral was to be at 4 p.m. today at the Holland's Gin Church of Christ with Brother Fred Evans officiating. Burial was to be in the Old Scrouge [Mt. Pleasant] Cemetery.


Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nina Biggerstaff, Athens; three sons, James Biggerstaff, Elkmont, Rt. 1, Walter Biggerstaff, Athens, Rt. 8, and Charles Biggerstaff, Athens; four daughter, Mrs. Irene Jones, Elkmont, Rt. 1, Mrs. Sarah Walton, Alameda, CA, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Dallas, TX, and Mrs. Rachel Broadway, Clinton, TN; a half-brother, Rawls Biggerstaff, Nashville, TN; three brothers, Shelly Biggerstaff, Nashville, Charlie Biggerstaff, Ardmore, and Aaron Biggerstaff, Huntsville; four sisters, Mrs. Dove Wales, Mrs. Lizzie Wales, Mrs. Florence Hodges, and Mrs. Lucy Pittman, all of Elkmont, Rt. 1; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
