Cassandra was born March 28, 1848 in Louisiana. Parents were Samuel J. Burris and Salina J. Avant ( or Avent) Burris. The Burris family ended up in Missouri then Arkansas.
She married John Andrew Hutchins Sept 13, 1870 in Lamar, Texas.Her first born son was James Robert 'Bob' Hutchins (who grew up to be a Texas and Oklahoma Law Man) in Travis county, Texas.Find a Grave # 17965678
Bt 1900 the family was living in Oklahoma, She died at Oil Creek, Carter County, Oklahoma
She was 1/8 Chickasaw Indian blood line and taught her children to speak the language.
