He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Audean Coker Harney; his son, Michael Harney; his daughter, Michelle and son-in-law David Wright; brothers, Kenneth Harney (Vanine) and Daniel Declerk (Becky) and many nieces and nephews who all loved him.
"Grampy" will be truly missed by his greatest treasures, his grandchildren, Jessica Wright Phillips and husband Blake, Rachael Wright and her fiancé, Christopher Swaty, Spencer Harney and littlest angel, Blakley Harney.
Mr. Harney was retired from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette where he worked for 39 years and made many friends that he kept for life.

Visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Highway 5 in Alexander.
