Dolores J. "Toots" Enneking, 95, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Oldenburg, Indiana where she lived her entire adult life.

Dolores was born on May 15, 1927 in Franklin County to Augusta (Schwegman) and Albert Knecht and was the oldest of ten siblings.

After graduating high school, Dolores went on to marry her husband, Sylvester Enneking, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1976. Being the incredible woman that she was, Dolores raised her five youngest children while managing to work at Hill-Rom in Batesville for ten years after her husband passed. Family was her entire life from the time she was a child and she loved it that way. She was an excellent cook and baker, but her talent as a seamstress was extraordinary. As a senior in high school, Dolores proudly won a blue ribbon at the Indiana State Fair for a dress she made.

Dolores not only kept busy with her family and work, but she was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a past member of the Ladies Fireman Auxiliary and the Bereavement Committee at Holy Family parish.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her family, but she leaves behind an incredible legacy.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Enneking, Debbie Pfeiffer (Kenny), Susan Enneking (Sam, deceased), Karen Enneking (Darrell Breedlove), Mark Enneking (Erika Johnson), Gary Enneking (Angela), Dale Enneking (Cindy), John Enneking (Nancy), and Kurt Enneking (Beth); 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Don Knecht, Marilyn Lanning, Albert Knecht, Bruce Knecht, Dick Knecht, and Carol Horning; and many, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester; parents, Augusta and Albert Knecht; brothers, Delmar Knecht, Jim Knecht, and Marvin Knecht.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am all at Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg, Indiana. Burial will follow immediately at Holy Family Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Safe Passage, Sisters of St. Francis, or to Holy Family Catholic Church by bringing to the services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
