MARIE F. HOWELL, 92, of Memphis, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Marie was born on September 28, 1915, near Covington, TN. She was the only child of James Booker Faught and Lula Grantham Faught. She graduated from Brighton High School and attended the Baptist School of Nursing. Specializing in psychiatric nursing, Marie worked at Western State Hospital, Wallace Hospital, and Gartley Ramsey Hospital, among others. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Howell. She leaves a daughter, Carolyn Jacks; a son, Bill Howell, both of Memphis; and two granddaughters, Jannae Jacks, of New York City, and Tara Marquis, of Ithaca, NY.
