Edna McCall Scoggins, 87, of Asheville, died, Sunday, January 5, 2003, at the home of her granddaughter, Lissa.

Mrs. Scoggins was born in Transylvania County and was the daughter of the late Julius M. and Lilly Galloway McCall. She was also preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Scoggins, a daughter, Joyce F. McCall and nine brothers and sisters.

She worked as a private duty nurse and was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.

Surviving are one son, Jerry Forrest of Memphis, TN; three
grandchildren, Lissa McGlamery (with whom she made her home), Michael Forrest and Kimberly Forrest; her only great-grandchild Christy Silvagni; a step-great-granddaughter Jamie McGlamery; her best friend of 50 years, Viola Jones, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
