Hanover – Charles Victor Brenneman, 75, died Tuesday at his home, Hanover RD 1, Union Township, Adams County, where he lived alone. He retired in 1947 from the former Hanover Cordage Company.
A son of the late William and Amelia Brodbeck Brenneman, Mr. Brenneman was a member of Hanover Home Association. His wife, Mrs. Annie Irene Caslow Brenneman, died last May 26.
Surviving are: Nine children, Mrs. Stella Tome, Red Lion; Paul Brenneman, Gibbon Glade, Pa.; Earl J. Brenneman, Thomasville RD 1; Mrs. Edith Staub, Hanover RD 5; Mrs. Mary Staub, Hanover RD 2; Claude Brenneman, Westminster, Md.; Mrs. Ada Hudson, Granite City, Ill.; Mrs. Grace Croft, Aspers, and Mrs. Doris Marsh, Hanover RD 1; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Bucher Funeral Home, 269 Frederick Street. Rev. Dr. George E. Bowersox, retired pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, McSherrystown, will officiate. Interment will be in Shaffer's Church Cemetery, near Hanover Junction.
