Doris D. Marsh, 91, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Hanover Hospital.

Born on Saturday, May 12, 1923 in Carroll County, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Charles V. and Annie Caslow Brenneman. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John E. Marsh, who died in 1993; a son, John F. Marsh; a grandson, John F. Sheaffer; three brothers, Paul, Earl and Claude Brenneman; and four sisters, Mary Staub, Stella Tomie, Ada Spence and Grace Albright.

Doris was a member of St. Paul's (Broadway) Lutheran Church and was a retired employee of Snyder's of Hanover, with more than 40 years of service. She was also a volunteer with PAL Lunches.

Survivors include her daughter, Peggy J. Sheaffer; a sister, Edith Staub, both of Hanover; three grandchildren, Earl and Robert Sheaffer, and Julie Perkins and her husband, Robert; one great-granddaughter, Samantha; two step-grandchildren, Linda Sheaffer and Patsy Smith; and one step-great-grandson, Allen.

The funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Terrence McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10-11 am Thursday at the funeral home.
