Robert Stilson Smith of Acton, died peacefully at his daughter's home surrounded by family on Tuesday January 3, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Constance Martha (La Rosee) Smith. Robert was a son of the late Stilson and Elizabeth Smith. He completed his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and continued further education at MIT. He was a brilliant electrical engineer for almost 50 years, holding positions at Sperry Corporation and Raytheon, and earning a reputation for the excellence of his technical and analytical skills.
Throughout his life, Robert was a man of integrity and generosity, supporting many causes and charities, including Thru The Bible Radio, which he was passionate about. Robert was a long time member of Faith Evangelical Free Church in Acton. He is survived by his four children and six grandchildren.
