Born in Burrillville, a son of the late Giuseppe and Bernarda (Gallante) Marsella, he lived in Johnston for 46 years.
Mr. Marsella was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the Elks, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, all in Florida. He also was a member of the Kelley-Gazerro Post, VFW, Cranston, and the William Shields Post, American Legion, Warwick.
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, David A. and Robert J. Marsella, both of Johnston, Joseph E. Marsella of Foster, and Alfred Marsella Jr. of Cranston; two brothers, Charles Marsella of Charlestown, and Frank Marsella of Rehoboth, Mass.; three sisters, Susan and Agnes Marsella, both of Cranston, Mary Ingleis of Charlestown, and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Santina D'Meglio and Alda Ventrone.
