First married Arminta Baldridge George Feb. 21, 1866 in Floyd Co. Ky. Daughter of Andrew Baldridge and Mary Dawson—had 5 children——-Andrew Jackson, Hiram Floyd, Minerva Alice, Zachariah and Samuel G.
In 1870 census they were living on Toms Creek in Johnson, Ky. Here it stars Zach was born in TN.
In the 1880 census, Arminta is gone but her youngest child Samuel, with Zachariah is 4.

Married 2nd to Rachael Arrowood, July 11, 1878 in Johnson Co., Ky. Daughter of John Arrowood and Eleanor Riddle. It's been said that she had a child previously named Mary. In 1880 census Mary is 7/12 months. Born in Sept. 1879. According to the census records she is the daughter of Zach & Rachel. Other children from this marriage—-Judith, Lydia, Anna, Enoch, Elijah and Bennie.
