Janet Elaine Thoms, 64, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Tipton Oak Manor, with her family by her side. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 30, 1958; a daughter of the late Levi and Mary (Collier) Cunningham. On August 5, 1978, she was married to Brian Keith Thoms, who preceded her in death.
Janet attended high school in Owensville, Missouri. She worked for Brown Shoe Factory and for Buck's Home Care as a housekeeper. She enjoyed watching television, particularly horror flicks and science-fiction, working in her yard, listening to music, and talking with friends and family on the phone. She especially adored her cats. She was a mother, sister, and friend and will be missed dearly by those who love her.
Janet is survived by her two sons, Jacob Thoms, and Roger Turner (Renee); brother, Jim Cunningham; sisters-in-law, Mavis Cunningham and Girlie Cunningham; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian; parents, Levi and Mary; and siblings, Jack, John, Judy, and Jerry.
