"Henry Morgan died at his home in Aurora, Sunday, at the age of seventy-six years, his death following only a brief season of acute illness. He leaves a wife and a daughter, Mrs. Brookfieid of New York, and two brothers, George and Richard. These now surviving brothers are the last of five who have made more than a passing name for themselves in the vicinity and the world. Henry Morgan was born in Aurora, Aug. 22, 1810, and was a student at the old Academy. He has been engaged in mercantile pursuits at his home village and has been also interested in California mining enterprises and in some of Auburn's manufacturing industries. He was also one of the originators of the United States telegraph service. He will be remembered as a thorough old school gentleman, a kindly neighbor and enterprising citizen."
